The Start:
Sidewalk Salads was founded by brothers Aaron and Jason Freedman in 1996 and was born on the streets of downtown Miami where we sold our salads from carts on the sidewalk.
In a few short years we had a pretty large and loyal customer base. Business quickly moved from just selling lunch on the sidewalk to; my firm is having a lunch, can you cater. My firm is having a reception, can you cater. We are having a party at our house, can you cater. My daughter is getting married, can you cater.
For the last 15 years Sidewalk Salads has been operating solely as a catering company. Working with local Universities & Colleges, Non-profits, Mountain Biking events, Ultimate Frisbee & Disc Golf, Bacardi Cup Sailing, Tailgates, private events, etc…
The Now:
SALT Waterfront Restaurant
In 2014, Sidewalk Salads was awarded the contract to run the dining facilities for the university of Miami key Biscayne campus (RSMAS). There we operate as SALT Waterfront Restaurant.
It is a beautiful venue; you should consider having your next event there!
